Shine and Settle: A Nightly Wind-Down for the Lion’s Heart
Description:
A nightly practice to release the weight of the day, honor your wins, and return to the Great Divine’s steady heartbeat before sleep. It’s about softening the roar into a purr — resting in presence, self-compassion, and gratitude.
Steps:
- Arrive
Find a comfortable position — seated or lying down. Unclench your jaw, drop your shoulders, and close your eyes.
- Three Slow Breaths
Inhale through the nose for 4 counts… hold for 2… exhale through the mouth for 6.
Repeat 3 times, letting the day drain away on each exhale.
- Gratitudes (3 total)
- One creative win (big or small — what is it for you).
- One relationship moment (how did you connect today).
- One self moment (a choice you made that honored your well-being).
- Release What You Don’t Control
Silently say: “I return what isn’t mine to carry. I keep what is.”
Picture setting down a heavy backpack of worries and walking away.
- Self-Forgiveness
Place a hand on your heart and say:
“I forgive myself for any stumbles today. I’m learning. I’m worthy of rest.”
- Set a Simple Intention for Tomorrow
Fill in the blank:
“Tomorrow I will __________.” (Example: “show up with patience for one hard thing.”)
- Mantra Close
Whisper: “Om Aim Hreem Shreem Maha Lakshmiyei Namaha.”
Then: “Shine first… and see what rises.”
Closing Note:
End the day in gratitude and faith. The jungle will still be there tomorrow — but tonight, let the lion rest.
