“Stand, when we all stand together… Pray, we no longer go astray. Our hearts know the way. It’s not faraway. Let’s rendezvous.” These words carry the essence of yoga. Stand together — this is sangha, the strength of community and shared presence. Pray we no longer go astray — this is the call to return from the wandering of the mind, to meet the truth of this breath. Our hearts know the way — yoga teaches that beneath the malas, beneath the kleshas, the hridaya, the heart, always points us home. And it’s not faraway — presence is never elsewhere; it is only Here and Now. When we rendezvous with awareness each day, we pierce the veils of separation, action, and illusion. We discover that presence is not something to chase — it is the place we already are.
